INTRODUCTION:

Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic Calendar . Muslim from all over the world offers Namaz/Salah and recite Holy Quran . Muslim observe the month of Ramadan to mark that Allah gave the first chapter of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad PBUH, During Ramadan Muslims fast abstain from pleasure and offer prayer to become closer to Allah. The months of Ramadan consists of 29 or 30 days, according to Islamic beliefs , the devil is chained up at the start of this month, the doors of Heaven are opened for blessings and the doors of hell are closed for all 29/30 days. According to Muslims fasting , its not to just stay hungry from dawn till dusk but to learn self-control on all the bad deeds, patience, taqwa/forbearance with spiritual and mental purification.

RAMADAN

The history of Ramadan is not short. The Meaning of Ramadan is "Blessing of Allah". It is the month of Blessings and Allah has said in Quran al Hakeem.

   "Oh, You who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you  that you may learn piety and righteousness."
IMPORTANCE OF RAMADAN:
Ramadan has secured its unique position is Islam, the month of Ramadan has its importance factors.
  • This is the month in which Allah has sent down the first verses of Quran to Prophet Muhammad PBUH in the night of Laylat al-Qadr 
  • It is believed that this night is one of the odd night from the last 10 days of Ramadan Kareem
  • In this month Allah opens the door of blessings upon his believers who ever seek forgiveness and help.
  • Holy Quran was first reveled in this month.
  • Fasting in the month of Ramadan is the forth pillar of Islam among the five pillars of Islam.
  • The Prophet Muhammad PBUH Said:

"The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Said, When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of heaven are Opened and the gates of hell are closed and the devils are chained" – Saheeh Al-Bukhari. Ramadan Strengthen your Imaan, heal your heart.



RAMADAN IN A TIME OF COVID-19 

As we all know Ramadan is right on the corner maybe in few days, even as the coronavirus pandemic appends life around the world. Muslims are not allowed to have mass gathering or prayers in mosques or mystical shrines. 


RELIGIOUS LEADERS OPINION:
Religious Leader had requested the governments of Muslims world to keep mosques and mystical shrines open in the holy month of Ramadan following SOP by the government, even amid fears of virus spreading close quarter 

PAKISTAN RECORDED:
In Pakistan till dated Coronavirus cases 9,749 , Deaths 209, Recovered 2156 patients have returned back to their home after the procedure of quarantine.

GOVERNMENT AGREEMENT: 
An agreement was reached to conditionally allow prayers in congregation and taraweeh, special night prayers performed during the holy month, no carpet will be laid on floor of mosques and worshipers will keep a distance of 6 feets apart while offering prayer.

Last by not least a message to all the Muslims around the world please be very careful while having a religious gathering, keeping in mind the pre-cautions and SOP by the government.
