A mans health was often something that was     ignored by a great many men, this coupled   with  poor lifestyle choices can lead to some  of  the more common men’s health issues.
Whether you are the archetypal male who  knows or wishes to know nothing about Men's  health, or if you think you know all you need - it’s always worth taking the time to know the basics of Men's Health and maybe brush up on your knowledge. If you’re just starting out then dig in because in this area a little knowledge is NOT a dangerous thing….. in fact, quite the opposite, information about Men's Health could save your life one day!
Men can have quite unique health concerns and often suffer more from certain diseases also it’s no secret that worldwide, statistically women outlive men. Some contributing factors can be:

* Men’s lifestyles are often less healthy than their female counterparts as they often drink and smoke more
* Certain jobs that are almost completely the domain of men such as construction and mining can bring men into contact with more dangerous substances and situations than women often find themselves in
* Men are less likely to have regular check ups or visit their doctor on a regular basis
* Men can often suffer more from job related stress and experience emotional problems from being disconnected from the family group due to work commitments
* On average men sleep less
* Men are more likely to eat more fat and less fiber, they are also more likely to be overweight
* Men spend almost twice as much time in the sun yet are far less likely to use adequate protection
* Men are more likely to engage in riskier sexual practices
* Men are more frequent binge drinkers and can suffer from it’s knock on effects including violence, accidental death and liver problems
* Drug use can be higher amongst male groups
* Men often have a less keenly developed sense of risk in many areas including driving and sexual promiscuity
* Men are often involved in less healthy forms of exercise and often do not stretch properly before and after exercise
The above isn’t intended to stereotype men and it is true that women are also involved in many if not all of the behaviors above however; statistically it is still very much at a lower level
